Prospect Days

Franklin and Marshall Men’s Lacrosse Prospect Weekend on Sept. 14-15. St. Joseph’s University Men’s Fly with the Hawks Elite Prospect Day, October 6. There is a maximum of 72 participants for the Classes of 2021 and 2022. This is the best chance for players interested in SJU to get to know the campus, coaches and program. Click here to register 

Arcadia University Prospect Day, Sunday, Oct. 13 from 12-4:30 p.m. Attending athletes (HS age) will be coached by Head Coach James Purpura and the rest of the Arcadia Men’s Lacrosse Coaching Staff. This is a great opportunity to gain exposure to Arcadia University and the lacrosse program. Each participant will have the opportunity to further develop their fundamental lacrosse skills at their specific position, enhance their lacrosse IQ, experience a college practice environment, and showcase their skills in front of the Arcadia Coaching Staff. National Assessment/Tryout

Puerto Rico U15 Camp and U19 Assessment/Tryout for, Mount Laurel, N.J. on Sept. 21 and 22. This event will be split between the morning session aimed at our U15 (12-15 y/o) who either were part of the U15 Heritage Cup team or for new up-and-coming youth interested in starting up with Puerto Rico Lacrosse. The afternoon session will be for those players wanting to be assessed for the U19 National Team. The U19 National Team will be selected over the course of a few assessments during the next year, with final selections intended to become our U19 National Team for the 2020 U19 World Championships in Ireland. Eligibility: Puerto Rican born / or Puerto Rican descent no further than a grandparent. Proof of heritage will be required.  U19 players must be 18 years of age or younger by August 31st of 2019. Fall Clinics

Ricky Whelan Dukes Developmental Clinics, Sundays, Sept. 8, 22 & 29, 2-4 p.m. at Cardinal O’Hara. The Ricky Whelan Dukes Developmental Clinics, in their 13th year, are used to instruct ALL players on advanced skill development, while working on weaknesses and refining basic fundamentals to be effective in a PLAY FAST environment. Blue Ox Fall Trainings for high school and middle school at Main Line Sports Center in Berwyn. Boys’ training runs from Sept. 17-Oct. 24. Boys Middle School Training – For all middle school and youth players on Thursdays. This elite training is offered to players of all positions, including goalies. Limited spots are available! Youth Clinics

1st Start Lacrosse is coming to The Episcopal Academy, Swarthmore College, Cabrini University, The Phield House in Philadelphia, and the All Sports Center in Collegeville. 1st Start Lacrosse is a program where the basics to the game are broken down and taught in a fun and exciting environment. It’s for children, boys and girls, ages 3-7 and it will be coached by all former players now educators in the Philly area who have an extreme passion for the game. For dates and times as well as registration of these locations please click here.

West Chester Lacrosse Boys Fall Skill Clinics are an instructional and fun lacrosse experience for boys in 1st-9th grades. Players will be grouped by age and ability level to ensure productive and efficient sessions. We will focus on individual and team skills, emphasizing on both dominant and non-dominant stick skills and core defensive and offensive play at all levels. West Chester Lacrosse Association’s Fall Futures Co-Ed program is based on a developmental curriculum and focuses on age-appropriate lacrosse FUNdamentals including footwork, hand-eye coordination, and agility. Your young lacrosse players will have a blast during our weekly sessions that incorporate lacrosse skills with energizing games that teach athletic coordination. Futures serves boys and girls in preschool-kindergarten (2019/2020 school year, ages 3+). Fall Futures will be directed by former West Chester University standout player and captain, Madison Staska. Coach Staska has served as a youth lacrosse coach and referee for the past 7 years. The primary goal is to teach the game the right way and develop a love for the sport of lacrosse, all while creating a challenging and engaging learning environment.

Fall Leagues – Box

Steelyard Sports Fall Adult Box Lacrosse League is now open for registration. The league will begin September 16th and games will be played Mondays starting at 9:00PM at Steelyard Sports Indoor Complex (538 Swedeland Rd, King of Prussia, PA 19406). You must be at least 21 years old by the start of the season to play. Steelyard’s Box League consists of players of ages 21 through 40 plus. Registration is open for full rosters and for players signing up individually. You can find it online on our website at https://www.steelyardsports.com/fall-adult-box-lacrosse-league. The league will be capped off at 8 teams and each team will play 8 games plus playoffs. Recommended roster size is a minimum of 12 players. Ideal roster size 15-18 players, including 2 goalies. Leading up to the league start date, which will be in the beginning of September, Steelyard Sports is holding Thursday night pickup games starting at 8:30PM. For $10 come out ​and get runs with players who will be looking to join the league in the fall. Fall Goalie Training

Foundation Lacrosse 5-week (Saturdays) Fall Goalie Training program, Saturdays 9/12 through 10/12 (5 Sessions, 10 Hours), 2-4pm, on the TURF at Episcopal Academy. Led by UPenn’s Dave Page, these sessions will be fast-paced, challenging and fun while always focusing on building the base that makes high-level goalies great. Goalies will be broken up into groups by age/ability and pushed as they run through 120 minutes of stations, drills and competitions. Fall League

Black Bear Lacrosse Fall Instructional Lacrosse League for BEGINNER to INTERMEDIATE boys (K to 8) from all townships and recreational lacrosse clubs in the area for 2019. The league will be held at Phoenixville High School’s Athletic Complex. Beginner to intermediate players in grades K-8th will be offered a fun and engaging instructional lacrosse league. Players will be given the opportunity to learn from high school/college coaches in the community. Rental gear is only $30 per player. Head Coaches Grady Wise (Boyertown) and Bryan Churchey (Perkiomen Valley/2018 Mercury All-Area Coach of the Year) along with coaches from Pope John Paul II High Schools will be assisting.
