Winter Skills Clinics are an instructional and fun lacrosse experience designed to hone skills and lacrosse IQ. Players are grouped by age and ability level to ensure productive sessions. The curriculum focuses on mastering stick skills and technique first, then progressing to competition.
Winter Skills Clinics are held at the Westtown School Athletic Center on Saturdays, January 5th- February 9th, from 3 PM to 6 PM.

Youth winter training

West Chester Lacrosse Association FUTURES, Boys & Girls, Age 3-Kindergarten
The developmental Futures program focuses on lacrosse FUNdamentals including agility, footwork, and hand-eye coordination. The littlest lacrosse players will have a blast during our sessions that incorporate lacrosse skills with games that teach athletic coordination.
Winter Futures are held at Fern Hill Elementary School on Thursdays, January 3rd-February 7th, from 6 PM to 7 PM.

Play Fast training by NXT Sports, at Main Line Sports Center in Berwyn. The girls Play Fast is being run by Candace Bossell and Jessi Martin.
This four-week Play Fast Training is NXT’s fundamental-level program for girls who want to fine-tune their skills and elevate their game. Our professional, high-level coaches work directly with players through our carefully-designed Play Fast curriculum to challenge all skill levels.
Play Fast is designed to maximize quality reps, which is why there’s an 8-to-1 player-to-coach ratio. Players go through four 90-minute weekly sessions of fast-paced, high-energy drills, short lines and lots of small-sided games!

West Chester Lacrosse WINTER PATRIOTS, 2024/2025 & 2026/2027
Winter Patriots Girls Travel Lacrosse is a competitive girls travel team dedicated to the development of current 4th/5th- grade & 6th/7th-grade lacrosse players. The Winter Patriots Program will give players more opportunities to practice and work together as a team.
Winter Patriots practices are held at Westtown School Athletic Center on Saturdays, January 5th-February 15th, from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM, with a tournament scheduled for February 18th.

Duke Women’s Lacrosse 7v7 Tournament February 3, 2019
WHERE: DUKE UNIVERSITY’s Cohan Fields, 148 Bassett Drive

TIME: Check-in begins at 7:30am — Tournament Games and Clinic from 8am-1pm
ROSTER FORMAT: Teams must have a minimum of 10 players but a maximum of 14 players. Each team must have at least one goalie.
TOURNAMENT FORMAT: All tournament games will be played 7v7– 7 field players + 1 goalie (2 players will hold behind the restraining line).

The 3rd Annual Gait Heritage Girls Winter Classic – a 5v5 girls’ lacrosse clinic and tournament on Monday, January 21st (MLK Holiday) at Maplezone Sports Institute in Aston, PA. The event, presented by Heritage Lacrosse, will feature player clinic sessions conducted by Gary Gait, Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach at Syracuse University. Space in this exclusive event is limited to six (6) teams per bracket and is expected to fill up fast as it has since its inception. Click here to register
Format/Highlights:
• Top youth, middle school and high school players, clubs and teams from the region and beyond.
• 5v5 half-court play (4 field players and a goalie); 6 field players/team minimum; 9 field players/team maximum.
• 3-station field player clinic (and goalie clinic) conducted by Coach Gait and former Syracuse players will precede tournament play.
• Multiple 10 to 12 minutes games (lots of touches, lots of action).
• Team coaches are welcome to attend clinics and pick up any tips or pointers on drills and techniques.
Brackets Organized by Grade/Graduation Year (registrations will be accepted and brackets formed based on interest on a “first come first served” basis until brackets and/or the event is full):

Stick/Gear Donation Challenge: Participating girls and teams are asked to collect used or surplus lacrosse sticks/eye gear/pinnies (boys/girls items; check in the basement or garage!) and bring them to the Registration Desk during the event. The Philadelphia Lacrosse Association will arrange to have the sticks recycled as part of the HEADstring Project to support lacrosse in the City of Philadelphia and elsewhere in Eastern PA.

Ultimate Events Polar Challenge on Feb. 18 at the Body Zone Sports and Wellness Center in Wyomissing, Berks County. The event features the classes of Senior A (2019s and 2020s); Senior B (2021s and 2022s); Middle School A (2023s and 2024s); and Middle School B (2025s and 2026s).

The Duke Winter Camp is being offered for the serious and advanced lacrosse player! It is geared with special emphasis on preparing outstanding 8th – 12th graders who wish to continue progressing at an elite level. This camp will feature an outstanding staff consisting of top Division I head and assistant coaches. Our training sessions will focus on teaching the skills, concepts and game situations that will give you the confidence to make quality decisions on the field and ULTIMATELY prepare you to play at the next level. Loads of scrimmage opportunities in small game and full field situations with and against staff will be held each day along with tournament play each evening. The camp also features sessions on Strength & Conditioning, Speed Training, Nutrition and Sports Psychology.
The DUKE Goalie School – DUKE Assistant Coach Morgan Heisman and our outstanding goalie staff will train you just like our goalies at Duke. We offer separate training sessions that focus on quickness and reaction skills, technique and special situations. Goalies will have opportunities to participate in all scrimmage situations and will be placed on tournament teams for evening play.
Junior Blue Devil Winter Camp
December 27-29:
The Jr Blue Devil Camp is offered for intermediate players grades 6-8. The curriculum for this camp is geared towards the experienced middle school and junior varsity players. We will offer an outstanding staff consisting of top Division I college players and coaches who will focus on helping you become the best player you can be. Each day is designed to develop your skills and lacrosse knowledge in an atmosphere that promotes learning, competition and fun. Skills, concepts and game situations will be instructed through drills, small games and team competition. Middle school camp will run simultaneously to the high school Winter Camp during the day. We do not offer housing for any Jr Blue Devil campers. Advanced 8th graders should register within the Winter Camp listed above.

National Tourney tryouts

The 2019 Maverik National Lacrosse Classic regional tryouts for girls in the Pennsylvania and Delaware regions. The Maverik National Lacrosse Classic brings together 2,000 elite athletes from across the country for one action-packed tournament. The world-class event, now in its 12th year, offers extreme competition and maximum exposure to more than 200+ college coaches. The 2019 event (July 15th-18th) will be held at DE Turf, a premier sports facility featuring 12 synthetic turf fields on more than 170 acres in the state of Delaware.
