From Press Release
The Duke’s Lacrosse Club Program has been celebrating its 20th Anniversary as the oldest, largest and one of the most successful club programs in the Greater Delaware Valley and Tri State Area.
To commemorate this 20th Anniversary Celebration, Duke’s will shortly be naming it’s All Time 20th Anniversary Offensive & Defensive Teams with MVPs for each team.
Founded in 1998 through the primary sponsorship of Duke’s Tavern on Saxer Avenue in Springfield (Delco), the Duke’s Club started as a Summer Adult Club Team before morphing into one of the elite High School Age Club teams in America.
Duke’s has continued its expansion from that “Little Town Tavern” startup to a club that now has 7 Regional Programs from 3rd grade to 12th grade, a Duke’s National’s Program for players from 3rd grade to 8th grade; and the headline team, Duke’s Elite High School for 9th grade thru 12th grade. Duke’s Club Programs include over 1,100 boys from more then 157 schools in over 15 states.
Duke’s asks its players to be exemplary in the classroom at all levels and to be special people. Since its inception, an amazing 94 percent of Dukes players have committed to play college lacrosse, where players have been using lacrosse as that primary vehicle to a college education. Next week, look for the 20th Anniversary Offensive Team release.
