The Agnes Irwin School, a pre-K through 12th grade all girls’ school in Rosemont, PA, is seeking to hire a GK Coach/Assistant Varsity Lacrosse Coach, for the season beginning February 25, 2019, and ending June 3, 2019. The coach will be responsible for developing the varsity lacrosse program and student-athletes under the direction of the Athletic Director and Varsity Lacrosse Coach.

The successful candidates will possess:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; lacrosse and/or teaching; experience teaching lacrosse skills and strategies to high school athletes highly preferred
• Previous experience playing and/or coaching lacrosse at a competitive level preferred
• Proven ability to exemplify the highest standard of leadership, sportsmanship, and respect; ability to attend all team practices and games
• Knowledge of appropriate safety measures to ensure the well-being of student-athletes
• CPR/First Aid certification
• Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage relationships with all constituents

Young Quakers Community Athletics Girls Lacrosse Coach

Young Quakers Community Athletics (YQCA) is a partnership between the University of Pennsylvania’s Netter Center for Community Partnerships and Penn Athletics. YQCA creates mutually beneficial partnerships between select Penn intercollegiate athletic teams and West Philadelphia public schools.

Penn’s varsity athletes engage with West Philadelphia K-8 students, mentoring the children on the field and off. YQCA provides staff, coaches, uniforms, sports equipment, bus transportation, and access to the University’s world-class playing fields at no cost to the schools or their students. Program participants also benefit from the Netter Center’s comprehensive University-Assisted Community Schools (UACS) programming, which brings additional academic, human, and material resources from Penn to their schools during the school day, after school, and in the summer.
The YQCA Head Coach will be responsible for practice planning and facilitating sessions with Big Quakers (Penn athletes) and UACS students (4th-8th grade students). Sessions will focus on Big Quaker and Young Quaker engagement and integrating life skill development into practice sessions. The YQ Head Coach will be responsible for regular communication to the Big Quakers about practice plans and expectations.
Requirements  High school degree required, College degree preferred  2-5 years experience in sports based youth development or related field (ie teaching); experience working with at risk urban youth preferred  Extensive knowledge of lacrosse required; Playing and/or coaching collegiate level preferred  Complete all Federal and state background checks/clearances

Responsibilities  Attendance at all YQCA coach trainings, practices and competition  Practice planning/facilitation o Create detailed practice plans with focus on linking life skills to sports skills o Facilitate sports skills and leadership/team building lessons with elementary and college student-athletes  Communicate practice plans to YQCA senior staff and Penn athletes by assigned deadlines  Complete game scheduling  Coordinate special events such as opening/closing ceremonies

Estimated Schedule: September-June  4-10 hours per week including practice facilitation and planning  After-school hours (approximately 3-6pm); Occasional weekend commitments  Compensation: $20-$25 per hour commensurate with experience

Abington Friends Varsity Girls Lacrosse Head Coach

Abington Friends School, an independent school located in Jenkintown, PA, is seeking candidates for a Head Coach position with its Girls’ Varsity Lacrosse team for the 2018-19 spring season. Bryn Mawr College assistant

Bryn Mawr College Women’s lacrosse team seeks a part-time assistant coach. The candidate will assist in all aspects of the program, including practice planning, team and individual training, recruiting, scouting, and other duties.
