Pansini sisters (Agnes Irwin), Baerga (Ursuline) help Puerto Rico to rout of Hong Kong

Maria Pansini (Agnes Irwin, rising sophomore at Princeton) had six goals and a draw control while Jordan Baerga (Ursuline Academy-DE) added two goals, one assist and five draw controls as Team Puerto Rico routed Hong Kong, 21-2, Friday in its opener at the 2019 World Lacrosse Women’s U19 World Championship at Peterborough, Ontario.

Natalie Pansini (Agnes Irwin) added one goal, two assists, two draw controls, one groundball and a caused turnover. Jordan Santana (Egg Harbor-NJ) added a goal, an assist and a draw control and
Sophia Hernández (Eastern Regional-NJ) added a goal.

Puerto Rico won 19 of 27 draws and outshot Hong Kong (1-1), 29-4. Puerto Rico faces Belgium (0-1) today.
