OJ Roberts girls, Spring-Ford boys win Pioneer Athletic Conference titles

Owen J. Roberts broke open a 3-3 game by scoring 12 of 13 goals as it routed Spring-Ford, 17-5, to win its fifth straight Pioneer Athletic Conference championship at Upper Merion.

Meanwhile, Peyton Gensler tallied five goals as Spring-Ford won its ninth straight PAC boys’ title with a 10-3 win over Perkiomen Valley.

Junior Hannah Delahaye led Owen J. Roberts (16-3) with six goals and junior Maddi Koury collected four goals and four assists. Koury set the school’s assist record with a pass to Eloise Gebert, who scored three times.

Sophia Murray added 10 draw controls and seven groundballs and scored once.

Michaela Haney led Spring-Ford (14-6) with two goals. After a 2-8 finish in the Liberty division last season, Spring-Ford reached its second title game in three years.

Collin Pettine added two goals and an assist for the Spring-Ford (13-6) boys, who have reached all 13 PAC title games.

Defensemen Dean Costalas, Nick DelRomano and Blake Terrizzi and goalie Ben Swarr stifled the PV attack.

Natt Farrington scored twice for the Vikings (11-8).
