From Press Release
No. 19 Penn ventured north to Ithaca and stunned No. 8 Cornell, 16-15, to improve to 2-0 in the Ivy League.
Adam Goldner (Malvern Prep) was the hero, netting the game-winning goal with 17.9 seconds remaining after a staunch defensive stand from the Red and Blue at the other end.
The Quakers trailed, 7-2, in the second quarter but patiently worked their way back into the game as Tyler Dunn led the way with five goals. Penn still faced a 13-10 deficit with 11:25 to play, but scored the next four to take its first lead with 4:42 to play. The two teams combined for six goals in the final 5:04, but four of those came off Penn sticks as the Quakers toppled a Top-10 opponent.
