From Press Release

The annual US Lacrosse Convention and Fan Fest (LaxCon), which began Friday at the Pennsylvania Convention Center and continues through mid-day Sunday, has sold or distributed more than 6,000 tickets. The figure includes a record 2,105 tickets purchased in advance for the Fan Fest portion of the event, which runs today from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Walk-up sales for the convention (all-access) and fan fest (limited access) continued at 7 a.m. today in the convention center’s Grand Hall. The Fan Fest ticket record of 2,843, including advance and onsite purchases, was set a year ago in Baltimore. Favorable weather for the majority of today could help Delaware Valley lacrosse fans challenge last year’s mark, in addition to sending LaxCon’s full participation number over 7,000 for the third straight year and fifth in the last six.

This mark’s LaxCon’s first visit to Philadelphia since January 2014, when a then-record 7,066 members of the lacrosse community attended. That figure was eclipsed in Baltimore a year later at 7,631, which remains the benchmark.
