Upper Merion assistant coach

This is a paid position and prior lacrosse playing experience and/or coaching is required and a focus on defense is ideal.

Perkiomen Valley assistant coach

The Perkiomen Valley High School Boys Lacrosse Program based in Collegeville PA, and a member of District 1 as well as the Pioneer Athletic Conference, is seeking to hire a Varsity Assistant/Head JV Coach for the 2018-2019 season. Prior coaching and/or collegiate playing experience is required for this position. These are coaching-only PAID positions. Additional off-season coaching opportunities will be available for further compensation. In 2018 Perkiomen Valley had its best season in school history reaching its first PAC Championship game, a District-1 Class AAA Quarter-Final Appearance, and its first PIAA Class AAA State Play-Off Berth.

Rising Sons club openings

The Rising Sons Lacrosse program is seeking professional coaches for its elite, year-round travel teams. Specific coaching/training sessions will be conducted each season based on the age of the team players. The Sons are one of Philadelphia’s elite programs with teams consisting of players in the 2020 – 2028 graduation years. The Sons lacrosse players demonstrate the passion and commitment to the game with an expectation of achieving the highest level of playing lacrosse through club activities.
We are looking for dedicated and passionate coaches that are great teachers and can execute the Rising Sons Lacrosse curriculum of doing things the right way. Compensation dependent on the position can range from $50 to $125 per hour.

Young Quakers 4th/5th Grade Coach

Young Quakers Community Athletics (YQCA) is a partnership between the University of Pennsylvania’s Netter Center for Community Partnerships and Penn Athletics. YQCA creates mutually beneficial partnerships between select Penn intercollegiate athletic teams and West Philadelphia public schools.
Penn’s varsity athletes engage with West Philadelphia K-8 students, mentoring the children on the field and off. YQCA provides staff, coaches, uniforms, sports equipment, bus transportation, and access to the University’s world-class playing fields at no cost to the schools or their students. Program participants also benefit from the Netter Center’s comprehensive University-Assisted Community Schools (UACS) programming, which brings additional academic, human, and material resources from Penn to their schools during the school day, after school, and in the summer.
The YQCA Head Coach will be responsible for practice planning and facilitating sessions with Big Quakers (Penn athletes) and UACS students (4th-8th grade students). Sessions will focus on Big Quaker and Young Quaker engagement and integrating life skill development into practice sessions. The YQ Head Coach will be responsible for regular communication to the Big Quakers about practice plans and expectations.
Requirements  High school degree required, College degree preferred  2-5 years experience in sports based youth development or related field (ie teaching); experience working with at risk urban youth preferred  Extensive knowledge of lacrosse required; Playing and/or coaching collegiate level preferred  Complete all Federal and state background checks/clearances

Responsibilities  Attendance at all YQCA coach trainings, practices and competition  Practice planning/facilitation o Create detailed practice plans with focus on linking life skills to sports skills o Facilitate sports skills and leadership/team building lessons with elementary and college student-athletes  Communicate practice plans to YQCA senior staff and Penn athletes by assigned deadlines  Complete game scheduling  Coordinate special events such as opening/closing ceremonies

Estimated Schedule: September-June  4-10 hours per week including practice facilitation and planning  After-school hours (approximately 3-6pm); Occasional weekend commitments  Compensation: $20-$25 per hour commensurate with experience
