“We are excited to have such depth and experience leading the team this spring,” head coach Jen Adams said. “All four captains bring strong and collaborative leadership qualities and I am confident that they will help us achieve our goals both on-and-off the field this season. I can’t wait to see them leave their mark on 2018.”

Geiger is in her sixth year with the program, after missing two seasons due to injury. The midfielder from Drexel Hill has played 51 games for the Greyhounds, starting 38. She’s scored 28 goals and assisted 22 others for 50 career points. She’s also collected 75 ground balls, won 60 draw controls and caused 40 turnovers for Loyola.

Geiger has overcome the following injuries at Loyola:
*Last year she tore her ACL (left knee) in the season’s final game, the Patriot championship game vs Navy – the eventual national semifinalist
*In 2016 she played only 10 games due to meniscus tear
*Red-shirt Junior year missed all season but 1 game versus FL with navicular foot fracture
*Sophomore year missed season with a torn ACL (right knee)

Powers, the 2016 Patriot League Rookie of the Year, is a two-time All-Patriot League attacker. She’s started and played all 38 games throughout her career, and will be Loyola’s top returning scorer, as she led the team with 28 assists and 73 points last year. The native of Skaneateles, New York, has had at least one point in all but one game last season and will carry a 14-game point-streak into this year. Throughout her career, Powers has contributed 13 hat tricks, 77 goals, 49 assists and 126 points.

Savage earned a spot in the starting lineup a year ago, and finished the season tied for fifth on the team with 21 points on 10 goals and 13 assists. Throughout her career, she’s appeared in 44 games and has scored 15 goals, assisted 25 others and recorded 40 points.

Yanchoris is a two-time All-Patriot League honoree from Sykesville, Maryland. The anchor to Loyola’s defense, Yanchoris returns as the team’s leader in ground balls (32) and caused turnovers (20). Her 15 caused turnovers in conference games last year ranked tied for second among all Patriot League defenders. Throughout her career, Yanchoris has collected 61 ground balls and 46 caused turnovers.
