Strath Haven High School

League: Central League

Coach: Jef Hewlings, 6th season at SH

Last year’s record: 15-8 overall, 7-4 in CL, lost in District 1 semi’s and State quarters

Key returnees: Jeffrey Conner (mid, 2018), Ryan Morris (def, 2018), Will Brake (goal, 2018), AJ Santisi (def, 2018), Chris Rosini (att, 2018), Hunter Clements (mid, 2018), Vincey Palermo (goal, 2019), Liam Carney (att, 2019), Ibo Pio (att/mid, 2020)

Others to watch: Zach Politarhos (mid, 2018), Nolan Rau (def, 2018), Jack Thomas (mid, 2018), Ethan Belville (mid, 2019), Nicky Palermo (mid, 2019), Zane Mazur (LSM, 2019), Christian Mazur (mid, 2021)

Coach’s outlook for 2018 season: “Get GBs, take care of the ball, and play with energy each day and game day takes care of itself – fail to do these and we’ll struggle.”

Ridley High School

League: Central League

Coach: Rory Friel, 2nd year

Last year’s record: 11-8. 1st round playoff win. Lost in the second round Avon Grove.

Key returners:
Offense: Zane Johnston(Senior/Attack), Sean Crowley (Senior, Attack), Defense: Kyran Baker (Senior, Close D), Matt Cowan (Senior, Close D) LSM (Nick Layden).

Others to watch: Adam McGrath, Jimmy McGarrigle, Eric Stewart Matt Haines, Ryan Prum, Dylan Staley. Two good goalies competing for the starting job in Mike Murtha and Brendan King.

Coach’s outlook: “I hope that our players get better each day and that we are playing our best lacrosse in May.”
