In its third session in the winter of 2018, the NXT Lacrosse Academy trained 228 total players from 64 different schools, 20 clubs and 4 states during its eight weeks of sessions at Main Line Sports Center in Berwyn.

“The coaches kept the vibe extremely competitive and everyone had so much fun at every session,” said Kate Henwood, Director of NXT Girls Lacrosse. “Even though these players will be rivals wearing different colors in a few weeks, they respected each other and knew the only way for them to improve was to play with the best in fast-paced, college style drills.”

The NXT coaching staff was joined by 10 DI college coaches from nine different institutions. College coaches infused current concepts into the the NLA curriculum, making sure every session brought a new challenge. Each week, coaches identified “Workhorses of the Week” to give recognition to the players who demonstrated resilience, grit and coachability.
