From Press Release
The Dickinson men’s lacrosse team is ranked 13th, in the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Coaches Association (USILA) preseason national poll, announced this week.

The Red Devils ranked in the top 20, nationally, for almost the entire season in 2017. They jumped out to a 4-0 start and ran their record to 9-1 on the way to a 12-4 finish.
They posted a 6-2 mark in Centennial Conference play to advance to the conference semifinals for the third time of four seasons and the seventh in the past eight years.
Dickinson had a great showing on the All-Conference team, earning nine selections and had three players named to the USILA All-America team. Long-stick defenseman Andy Grabis ’17, was named a USILA/Nike Scholar All-American and selected to play in the North/South Senior All-Star Game.
Senior attackman Tucker Carney (Strath Haven, 19 goals, 19 assists) was the Centennial Conference Scholar Athlete of the Year last spring, earning honorable mention All-CC honors. Joining Carney, the Red Devils return eight of their nine All-Conference selections from a year ago. Another key returnee is junior defenseman Jack Doran (Haverford School), who started every game last year and had 25 groundballs and 10 caused turnovers.

Ranked right behind the Red Devils are conference rivals Gettysburg and Franklin & Marshall, coming in at #14 and #15, respectively.
The Red Devils are scheduled to open the 2018 season on February 17, traveling to the St. Paul’s School to face St. Mary’s College of Maryland at 1:00 pm.
