.@LaxCarroll wins first district championship, topping Wood for District 12 AA crown

Adam Ritter collected four goals and two assists and Michael Miner scored three goals while Mike Tarasca posted 14 saves to lead Archbishop Carroll to a 12-5 victory over Archbishop Wood Thursday in the District 12 AA championship at Northeast High.

Archbishop Carroll wins its first District 12 championship

The win gave the Patriots (11-9) their first district championship. They advance to the PIAA tournament and will open Tuesday against District 3 third-place finisher York Catholic at 4 p.m. at the Germantown SuperSite.

Fynn McNulty added two goals and an assist, andAndy Borkowski had a goal and two assists while Zane Walsh had a goal and an assist and Sean Kearney scored once.

Wood (8-11) was led by Colin Moore (three goals), Eric Bauer (two goals) and Colin Bruestle (three assists). The Vikings also advance to states and will meet District 1 runner-up and defending state champion Springfield-Delco at Methacton at 4 p.m. in round one.
