From Press Release
On Thursday, January 25, the Haverford College women’s lacrosse team hosted student-athletes from one of the new Harlem Lacrosse – Philadelphia programs at the Anderson School in West Philadelphia during the Women’s Basketball contest against Ursinus.

The team toured the GIAC with members of the women’s lacrosse team, had some snacks, and got to sit in the bleachers while the Fords took on the Bears.
Haverford alumna, and former assistant women’s lacrosse coach, Jody Mayer ’05, is one of two Program Directors with Harlem Lacrosse Philadelphia, which launched in the Delaware Valley in the fall of 2017. Now in five cities, Harlem Lacrosse serves over 1,000 student athletes and offers behavioral and academic support, as well as one on one tutoring, mentoring and a lot of lacrosse coaching. Program directors are on site all day, seamlessly integrated into school life, participating in all parts of the school day and spending time in the classroom and out with the students.
