The league’s leading scorer as a freshman, Tufts University’s Emily Games (Radnor) was selected to the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Women’s Lacrosse All-Conference first team and as Rookie of the Year on Thursday.
In 15 contests, Games has a league-best 49 goals with 15 assists for 64 points to top NESCAC. She averages 4.3 points per game. An aggressive offensive presence for the Jumbos, her 95 shots and 74 shots on goal also lead the conference. Her 12 goals on free-position shots are ranked fifth.
One of four All-Conference first team picks on attack, Games tied the Jumbo school record with eight goals at Williams College on April 5. She added two assists for a 10-point game. She also tallied six goals in conference games against Trinity and Bates.
In addition to her offensive production, Games was fourth on the Jumbos with 19 draw controls and 11 caused turnovers.
Games is the Jumbos’ first NESCAC Rookie of the Year since Caroline Ross, an eventual three-time All-American, was honored in 2013.
Tufts is 10-6 overall and placed sixth in NESCAC with a 5-5 mark this spring.
