Dukes I started its summer season by winning the 2018 title at the Passport Alliance Battle of Baltimore at the Delaware DE Turf Sports Complex in Frederica with a 7-6 victory over Twist Black.
With a mix of 2018s and some 2019s playing up as a group for the first time, Dukes used clutch offense and stingy defense to gain the victory over a strong Twist Black squad.
Overall MVPs for Dukes were Quinn Chambers (Episcopal Academy) and Zach Cole (Lenape). Offensive MVPs were Joey Taylor (La Salle), Zac Coar (La Salle) and Ryan Stout (CB East). Defensive MVPs were Joey Burnham (La Salle), Hunter Jaronski (Academy of the New Church) and Matt Lane (Lancaster Country Day School).
