Some spots left for @LaxHeritage’s Philly’s Elite Fall Invitational

Fourteen of Pennsylvania and Delaware’s teams are locked in for the first Philly’s Elite Fall Invitational. Who’s going to join them?

Held on Sunday, Nov. 19 at MSI Sports Village in Aston, Philly’s Elite Fall Invitational follows up a successful rookie event this summer. Seven PIAA tournament qualifiers, including two-time defending champion Springfield-Delco and Class AAA runner-up Conestoga, headline the group. Four-time Friends Schools League champion Academy of the New Church is the lone private school in the field.

Central Bucks South, Downingtown East, Garnet Valley, Manheim Township, Marple Newtown, North Penn, Pennridge, Radnor, Strath Haven, West Chester Rustin and Wilson join the Cougars, Pioneers and Lions in the stacked group. It’s the perfect way to cap the fall recruiting season, especially since players get to play within their comfort zones in their high school teams’ systems. Additionally, teams get to play against other teams that they might not see during the season.

“We’ve been able to attract a strong group of teams that enable every team to play three competitive games,” tournament director and Springfield coach Tom Lemieux said. “We’re expecting a strong college coach turnout, and a lot of coaches have mentioned that they prefer to watch players in the more structured environment that playing with high school teams offers.”

The event is by invitation only and all teams will play three games. If interested, please email phillyeliteinvitational@gmail.com.
