Rutgers coach Brand Sias (@Radnor_Lax) announces Zamrowski (@GarnetGLax) among eight signees

Rutgers women’s lacrosse head coach Laura Brand Sias (Radnor) introduced eight future Scarlet Knights – Sarah Cedarstrand, Marin Hartshorn, Caroline Perry, Mackenzie Porter, Camryn Rogers, Shannon Siebold, Alexis Watson and Linda Zamrowski – who all signed National Letters of Intent (NLI) to compete for RU beginning in the spring of 2019.

“We are really excited to announce this 2018 class,” Brand Sias said. “They bring a wealth of talent and will contribute to our program immediately. Not only are they good on the field, but they are good in the classroom as well.”

Glen Mills, Pa. • Garnet Valley High School

Prior to Rutgers: Competes at Garnet Valley High School in Pennsylvania … helped Garnett Valley reach the semifinals of the PIAA Class 3A tournament in 2017 … also competes in soccer at Garnet Valley … an honor roll student.

Alexis Watson
Moorestown, N.J. • Moorestown Friends High School

Prior to Rutgers: Competes at Moorestown Friends High School … owns 220 points on 172 goals and 48 assists during her scholastic career … voted team MVP as a junior after she collected 64 goals and 19 assists … three-time Frist Team Friends Schools League All-Star … three-time recipient of the Floss Brudon Award, which is given to the player who displays dedication, excellence and outstanding participation in girls lacrosse during the school year … also competes in basketball and soccer at Moorestown Friends, helping the soccer team capture a share of the Non-Public B title, the first in school history … a member of the Chinese Honor Society and Cum Laude Society.

Marin Hartshorn
Allentown, N.J. • Allentown High School

Prior to Rutgers: Competes at Allentown High School … has produced 117 goals, 91 assists and 208 points during her scholastic career … helped Allentown to 11 wins and an appearance in the Mercer County Tournament semifinals … contributed 51 goals and 31 assists during junior campaign … First Team All-Group 3 by NJ.com … had 48 goals and 27 assists for 75 points as a sophomore … also competed in soccer at Allentown, helping the program to a Group 3 championship over Middletown South this fall.

Caroline Perry
West Deptford, N.J. • West Deptford High School

Prior to Rutgers: Competes at West Deptford High School … missed entire 2017 season due to injury … finished 2016 season with 26 goals and 12 assists as a sophomore midfielder… has produced 42 goals and 20 assists during her time at West Deptford … two-time second team all-conference selection … also competes in soccer at West Deptford.

Sarah Cedarstrand
Ho-Ho-Kus, N.J. • Northern Highlands High School

Prior to Rutgers: Competes at Northern Highlands High School … helped Northern Highlands advance to the North Jersey, Group 3 semifinal as a junior … also contributed to school’s first section title and 13 wins in 2017 … part of a defense that allowed double-digit goals in just three games last season … First Team All-Group 3, first team all-area, second team all-conference and third team all-state by NJ.com.

Mackenzie Porter
Buchanan, N.Y. • Hendrick Hudson High School

Prior to Rutgers: Competes at Hendrick Hudson High School in New York … 2017 US Lacrosse All-American … has produced 724 career saves during her scholastic career … led the Sailors to a Section 1 Class C final during junior season … 2017 Westchester/Putnam First-Team All-Star by the Journal News … had 156 saves, 25 ground balls and 15 caused turnovers in 2017 … four-time all-league selection … two-time all-section player.

Camryn Rogers
Branchburg, N.J. • Somerville High School

Prior to Rutgers: Competes for Somerville High School … 2017 US Lacrosse All-American … has scored 240 goals, collected 41 assists and contributed a total of 281 points during her scholastic career … also owns 107 ground balls during her time at Somerville High School … one of the top scorers in New Jersey with 131 goals in 2017 … helped Somerville to an appearance in the Central Jersey, Group 2 semifinal as the sixth seed … First Team All-Raritan Division and Second Team All-Group 2 by NJ.com … produced 70 goals and 13 assists as a sophomore … also runs cross country and competes in basketball at Somerville High School.

Shannon Siebold
Trumbull, Conn. • Trumbull High School

Prior to Rutgers: Competes at Trumbull High School in Connecticut … voted team MVP as a junior after leading the team in scoring and points … 2016 honorable mention All-Connecticut as a sophomore by News12 Varsity … was selected to compete in the Brine All-American Lacrosse National Classic, representing Connecticut.
