Andrew Albertson won an amazing 26 of 27 faceoffs while Greg Santa-Anna, Ryan Geroulo and Luke Summers each scored three goals as host Parkland defeated Emmaus, 15-9, Thursday night for the District 11 Class AAA championship.

Parkland players that also compete for the Duke’s Lacrosse club are, left to right, Dalton Omara, Dylan Rahm, Gavin Saylor, holding District Championship Trophy; James McLaughlin and Brady Groff.

It was the first district crown for the Trojans, who improved to 21-1. The Trojans advance to the PIAA tournament, where they’ll meet Central Bucks East, the fourth-place team from District 1, at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Northampton.

Parkland seized control when it scored three straight goals (two by Santa-Anna) in the final 1:43 of the second quarter and took a 10-7 halftime lead.

Emmaus scored the first goal of the third quarter, but Parkland scored the next five.

The game endured two 30-minute delays due to lightning/thunder. The first delay happened midway through the second quarter and the next extended the halftime intermission.

Tyler Corpora paced Emmaus (13-9) with three scores.
