From Press Release

NXT is thrilled to announce its staff and the structure of its elite box club teams.

This winter NXT box will train 14-to-15 player rosters for fifth graders through High School at the Phelps School in Malvern, PA. It will field five club-neutral teams: a fifth/sixth grade team, a seventh-grade team, an eighth-grade team, a high school JV team and a high school varsity team. Each team will participate in 12 training sessions and compete in two-three event/tournament days. This box program is designed to be the perfect complimentary training piece and experience to a field players club, high school or township program.

The mission at NXT is to develop lacrosse players. What differentiates NXT box from its competition is the elite staff’s coaching experience and its commitment to extra training sessions. That is why NXT maintains a 4-to-1 ratio of practice hours to game hours. NXT additionally retains full-time professional coaches and educators. Its players will leave NXT’s box program more prepared for their field lacrosse programs and more complete lacrosse players.

“I believe this is the most beneficial way to improve your game as an American field player. There is a reason why the Canadian men’s indoor and outdoor teams have been the best in the world. It’s their commitment to the indoor game,” said Brett Manney, NXT Coach and Captain of the New England Black Wolves. “If we can train players the right way the future will be very bright for the players in our box club. I can only imagine how much better I would have been if introduced to the indoor game at a young age, especially with a legend like Tony Resch teaching me.”

NXT has assembled experienced educators to coach our box teams at practices and events. The staff includes:
