Mesa Lacrosse has announced its 2020 boys’ coaching staff and registration for supplemental tryouts for 2020-2027 teams for boys and girls (see info at bottom).

Mesa Lacrosse is pleased to announce a stellar training and coaching staff. We would like to introduce Ron Garling of Cabrini University who will be the Mesa 2020 Head Coach and Aaron Lovenworth who will be the defensive coordinator. Mesa is also fortunate to have Chris Bates of Episcopal Academy and John Nostrant of the Haverford School as training consultants.

Mesa will hold 2020 makeup tryouts on Aug. 27 at Haverford School at

Along with a unique opportunity to work with this group of coaches, Mesa Lacrosse also is one of only 16 clubs nationally that can offer access to the most elite showcases and tournaments in the nation for our student athletes as a member of the NLF (National Lacrosse Federation). Mesa has in its history of over 100 D1 lacrosse players. This is your opportunity to get the elite coaching and guaranteed exposure to college coaches.

The NLF provides a consistent level of elite competition for its member clubs. This elite level of play will be a benefit to all clubs that share our values and level of play and participate in our events. Already in its short history, The NLF has established itself with college coaches as the events in the country to attend.

Here are short bios on the Mesa 2020 coaches:

Ron Garling is the Assistant Lacrosse Coach at Cabrini University. Prior to Cabrini, Coach Garling spent seven years as a Division I assistant, with five years at High Point University and two years at Lafayette College. While at High Point, Coach Garling helped lead the team to the 2015 Southern Conference Championship and the school’s first NCAA tournament. A graduate of Drexel University, Coach Garling was a three-year starter as an attackman. A 2005 graduate of Ridley High School, Garling was a member of the 2003 state championship team.

Aaron Lovenworth was a 3 year starter at The Haverford School and team captain his senior year, 2 time All-State defenseman and 2000 Pennsylvania State Champion. He played college lacrosse at Hobart College where he was a member of a top defensive unit. Lovenworth served as assistant coach for the The Haverford School from 2007-2009 and is currently an assistant coach at The Haverford School under John Nostrant (2017-)
