Bergen Catholic (N.J.) 2018 faceoff/midfielder Sean Gibson has committed to play Division III lacrosse at Widener University.

Academic honors: National Honors Society – Academics and Music; Performs Alto Saxaphone solo for the Rockland Youth Jazz Ensemble that has performed, among other places, at the Lincoln Center and jazz clubs in the NY area; and for the Bergen Catholic Honors Jazz Ensemble

Expected major: Civil Engineering

Why did you choose Widener? “Widener offers the best balance athletically and academically for me. I felt very comfortable with Coach (Jamie) Lockard and his staff and feel that I can help them achieve their goals.”

HS team’s highlights for 2017: “In 2017, Bergen Catholic made it to the semi-finals in both the counties and the states.”
