Shipley School 2018 defenseman Connor Bryan has committed to play Division III lacrosse at Randolph Macon College.

Connor Bryan profile:

Connor Bryan

High school: Shipley School, Bryn Mawr, PA

Grad year: 2018

Position: Close Defense

College committed to: Randolph Macon College, Ashland, Virginia

Lacrosse honors: Won Most Improved Player Sophomore Season

Expected major: Political Science

Why did you choose Randolph Macon? “I chose Randolph Macon College because of its excellent academic reputation. I was also drawn to the location which is within 20 minutes of Richmond. I enjoyed the social environment of the school. I also very much appreciated Coach (JB) Sheridan’s hard working attitude.”

HS team’s 2018 outlook: “This is my last year at Shipley and our team’s goal has remained consistent throughout my time here: to win a Friends League championship. We’ve made it to the FSL championship game three years in a row, coming up short each time. This year we are looking to change that and adapt a new hardworking team mentality. In additio,n we have a talented freshmen class and a sophomore class that is rapidly improving. We are expected to have a very tough schedule this year and I am looking forward to the challenging competition.”

Thank You: “I’d like to thank my parents for guiding me through the college process. I’d like to thank my former defensive Coach, David Rauch, for teaching me how to play defense on a varsity level. I’d also like to thank my current high school coaches, Crowley, Chambers, Donnelly and Duncan.”

Other schools considered: Elizabethtown, Dickinson and Gettysburg.
