Conestoga 2018 midfielder Nick Braendel has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Monmouth University.

Nick Braendel profile:

Nick Braendel

High school: Conestoga

Grad year: 2018

Position: Midfield

College committed to: Monmouth University

Club teams: Fusion Lacrosse & Penn*Lax All Stars

Expected major: Business

Why did you choose Monmouth? “I chose Monmouth for a couple of reasons. I like the direction the lacrosse program is heading. From the first time I met the coaches, and after going to watch several games this spring I felt like this was I team I could see myself playing with. Also, Monmouth offers a great education along with the perfect location.”

HS team’s 2017 highlights: PIAA 3A State Runner Up, PIAA 3A District 1 Champs, PIAA Central League Champs

Thank You: “First I want to thank my mom for all of the support she has given me. I think she has been there for every game and driven thousands of miles to get me there and when I was younger, (she was there) telling me to keep my head up and keeping me motivated; my Conestoga Coaches, Bush and Bickel, for helping me step up my high school game and play under pressure; and my Fusion/Penn*Lax coaches, Holmes, Crowley, Wiles, Philibin, McCormick, Turner and Hoffman, for teaching me how to play fast. They are the best club coaches I’ve seen and box skills they have taught me are a huge reason I play the way I do.”

Other schools considered: Delaware, Villanova, Washington College
