Bishop Shanahan 2018 midfielder Kyle Pollick has made a commitment to play Division III lacrosse at Widener University.

Kyle Pollick profile:

Kyle Pollick

High school: Bishop Shanahan, PA

Grad year: 2018

Position: Midfield

College committed to: Widener University

Club team: Philadelphia Freedom

Lacrosse honors: Summer Showcase invitational All-Star, GFW Elite 60 All-Star, Brine National All-Star

Expected major: Business

Why did you choose Widener? “I chose Widener because it presented itself with many opportunities where I could be successful on and off the field. The co-op program is a tremendous opportunity I look to take full advantage of. Also Coach (Jamie) Lockard is building a great program and made me felt at home from the moment I first visited campus, making the decision easy for me.”

HS team’s 2018 outlook: “This senior class is strong and ready for the challenge. We’ve had the privilege of playing under some of the best players to come out of Shanahan; we look to build off the knowledge that they have taught us over the years and compete for a league title as well as a State Title.”

Thank You: “I would like to thank both my parents for putting so much time and effort in helping me get better and allowing me to play this sport; as well as a special thank you to coach Bob Miller for teaching me how to play the game right and helping me along the recruiting process. Lastly, I would like to thank all my former and present teammates for pushing me to get better and supporting me.”
