Appoquinimink High School 2017 defenseman Nicholas Bowen has committed to play Division III lacrosse at DeSales University.

Club team: Delaware Silverbacks National Team

Lacrosse honors: First Team All Conference; 2nd Team All State

Academic honors: High Honor Roll

What do you plan to major in? Business Administration

Why did you choose the school? “DeSales University seemed like a great fit for me because I felt like I really connected with the coaches during my official visit. Also, I was very impressed with their Business Program and all of the possibilities that it can potentially offer me in the near future.”

HS team’s Outlook for 2017 season: “After losing in the 2016 Delaware State Championship, we are looking to get back there in the 2017 season and bring home the State Championship.”

Thank You: “I would like to thank my parents for allowing me to play lacrosse and for taking me to the numerous amounts of tournaments, games, and practices. I would also like to thank my youth coaches; Coach Kevin Green and Coach John Graser. They really taught me the fundamentals and how to become a better player. I would also like to thank all of my high school coaches; Coach Christian Zwickert, Coach Mike McGuigan, Coach John Covaleski, and Coach Chris Rutter for elevating my game to the next level.”
