Karpinski named assistant for @NovaLacrosse

Villanova Head coach Michael Corrado has announced the addition of Joe Karpinski to the Villanova men’s lacrosse staff for the 2017-18 season. Karpinski will serve as a volunteer assistant coach primarily working with faceoff specialists and goalkeepers.

Prior to Villanova Karpinski spent the last four years at Chestnut Hill serving as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator. There his main responsibilities included working with the faceoff specialists and goalies. He also spent time in the same role at Ursinus College.

“I have spent my career coaching at all levels and am look forward to working with the Villanova staff at the Division I level,” shared Karpinski.

Karpinski spent six years working at Downingtown East where faceoffs were constantly over 70% each year.

Karpinksi was a long stick midfielder at University of New Haven and is originally from Plattsburgh, N.Y.
