From Press Release
Dickinson junior attackman Tucker Carney (Strath Haven) has been named the Centennial Conference Men’s Lacrosse Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
The honor goes to the member of the All-Conference Team with the highest cumulative grade point average in their respective sport.
Carney was an Honorable Mention All-League performer who had 19 goals and 19 assists while collecting 37 ground balls. He had a huge game against conference rival and eventual conference champion, Franklin & Marshall, netting three goals and handing out a pair of assists. His 19 assists ranked him seventh in the conference as he raised his career totals to 35 goals and 31 helpers for 66 points.
The Red Devils ranked in the top 20, nationally, for almost the entire season. They jumped out to a 4-0 start and ran their record to 9-1 on the way to a 12-4 finish. They posted a 6-2 mark in conference play to advance to the conference semifinals for the seventh time in the past eight seasons.
