Wednesday’s girls’ roundup: Episcopal Academy, Germantown Friends win

Katie Crager had three goals and two caused turnovers and Julia Hondros added a goal, an assist and four draw controls to lead host Episcopal Academy to an 8-4 win over Hill Academy (Ontario) Wednesday in EA’s non-league girls’ lacrosse opener.

Germantown Friends School 10, Baldwin School 7

Goalkeeper Corin Grady posted 15 saves (11 in first half) Celia Meyer (four goals) scored two insurance goals as GFS earned the victory.

Isabel Schmidt and Sophie Smith added two goals each for Germantown Friends.

Tuesday’s game

Penn Charter 16, Friends’ Central 6

Alexis Joseph collected five goals and four draw controls to lead the Quakers.
