Staff Report
Twin sisters Savannah (midfield/attack) and Delaney (goalie) Sweitzer have made verbal commitments to play Division I lacrosse at the University of Southern California.
The Sweitzer girls attend Springside Chestnut Hill Academy, but they don’t play on the same team.
Delaney Sweitzer played as a freshman on the SCHA boys’ team last year and earned a spot as a varsity starter, sharing the position with another goalie. Delaney suffered a torn ACL early in the year, but has fully recovered and is expected to challenge for a starting spot this year on the boys’ team.
Savannah Sweitzer was a starter last season for the Springside Chestnut Hill Academy girls. Both played girls’ club lacrosse this summer for Triple H.
The twins began playing lacrosse with the boys’ North Penn Dragons program as 3rd graders. They played 3 years for the LB3/Phillie Elite boys’ program. Delaney also played on the LB3 2019 National team for 2 years under the leadership of LB3 Founder Liam Banks.
At USC, Delaney Sweitzer will play under assistant and World Cup goalie Devon Wills, who the first woman to sign a contract in the MLL.
Full commitment stories will be posted on the twins on Tuesday.
