The event is organized by former Wings standout Kyle Sweeney (Class of 1999).

To commemorate the event, Springfield grads Ebe Helm and Jim DeRose recently traveled up to Elizabethtown Masonic Homes to visit the Architect and “Father” of Springfield Lacrosse and the “Father” of Eastern Delaware County Lacrosse, Stu Brown. At 87, Stu is sharp and remains resolute about the growth of lacrosse, said Helm.

Brown plans to attend the event to share in the festivities that will include a Trip to DUKE’S TAVERN on Saxer Ave in Springfield which has long been a Staple of the Lacrosse Community as a whole.

Brown had big congrats for current Cougars Coach, Tom Lemieux, for guiding the High School to a PIAA Championship last spring. Brown launched the program in 1969 as a club sport before it became a a varsity sport in 1976.
