Saint Joseph’s will host the 2016 Northeast Conference Men’s Lacrosse Championship this Thursday, May 5 and Saturday, May 7. The semifinal games and championship game will be played on Sweeney Field.
All three games will be streamed free of charge via NEC Front Row.
#1 Saint Joseph’s (11-3, 5-1 NEC) will face #4 Robert Morris (7-7, 4-2 NEC) in the first of two semifinals at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 5.
#2 Bryant (10-4, 5-1 NEC), ranked 20th nationally, will then face #3 Hobart (8-6, 4-2 NEC) in the second semifinal game, scheduled for 7:30 p.m. that evening.
The winners of each semifinal game will advance to the championship game to be played at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 7.
All parking for the event will be located in the Hawks Landing Parking Facility on 54th Street. There will be a $10.00 per car charge.
This will be the third consecutive year that Saint Joseph’s University will host the Northeast Conference Championship. Saint Joseph’s and Bryant finished with identical 5-1 records in league play, and the Hawks’ 10-9 overtime win over the Bulldogs on April 16 clinched SJU’s right to host once again on Sweeney Field.
