Wilson West Lawn 2019 midfielder Cameron Magalotti has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at the College of the Holy Cross.

Cameron Magalotti profile:

Cameron Magalotti
Cameron Magalotti

High School: Wilson West Lawn

Graduation Year: 2019

Position: Midfield

College Choice: The College of the Holy Cross

Club Affiliation: Big 4 HHH

Major lacrosse honors: NLF Future All Star, Fab Frosh All Star, Honorable Mention Berks County Freshman Year, NXT Philly Charity Showdown All Star

What will you major in/study? Undecided

Why did you choose this school? “Holy Cross has a excellent reputation for academics that will give me opportunities beyond the lacrosse field, which is most important to me. The Patriot League is a highly competitive league that allows me to play games close to home. I had a solid connection with Coach (Judd) Lattimore and Coach (Peter) Burke that made me feel comfortable. Lastly, I prefer the smaller school atmosphere, which is what Holy Cross gives me.”

Outlook for 2017 HS season? “Our 2016 year was our best season in school history, going 25-1 and losing in the state quarterfinals to La Salle College High School. We lost some great seniors, however, we still have a solid group of returning players. I am confident our team will be up for the challenge and hope to repeat as a District 3 champion and make a push into state playoffs.”

People to thank: “Thanks to Coach McKinney, Coach Danehy, Coach Gregg and rest of BIG 4 HHH staff for giving me an opportunity to play alongside some of the best 2019’s in the country and to compete against top clubs in the country each and every year; my BIG 4 HHH and Wilson teammates for challenging and pushing me at every practice; my family for driving me all over the place for practices, tournaments, and showcases; my sister, Emily, for always offering positive advice.”

Other schools considered: Villanova, Cornell, BU
