Springfield-Delco 2019 midfielder Jack Spence has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Lehigh University.

Why did you choose this school? “I chose Lehigh University because it was the best fit for me. Lehigh has strong academics, a strong lacrosse program, a great coaching staff and I like the idea of being able to continue to play with my brother (2017 goalie James Spence).”
Outlook for 2017 HS season? “We lost a great senior class, but we have amazing coaches and a solid group of upperclassmen, so we should be competitive.”
People to thank: “I want to thank my parents, brothers and sister for always being supportive and willing to help me out with anything I need. Thanks to Coach (Tom) Lemieux and the entire Springfield coaching staff for pushing me to improve and become the best player I can be; coach (Billy) McKinney, Coach (Ryan) Danehy and the whole Big 4 HHH lacrosse coaching staff for working with me to develop my skills and providing me with the opportunity to play with and against some of the best players in the country.
