Why did you choose Navy? “I visited schools of different sizes with my parents and each one offered their own academic and lacrosse environment However, when I stepped onto the Naval Academy campus, I realized something very special. Coach (Rick) Sowell and Coach (Ryan) Wellner as well as the team made me feel very comfortable from the start, they answered every question that I had during my visit(s) and I knew by the end of my second visit it was a perfect fit for me. Not only does Navy offer excellent academic and lacrosse programs, I will also have the opportunity to travel and get great work experience and opportunities while serving my country.”
HS team’s outlook for 2016 season? “We return every varsity starter from a team that lost in 3OT in district finals last year so we should be very strong and look to contend for a district title again this spring.”
Thank You: “First I want to thank Coach Ebe Helm and Coach Jason Christmas for all of the guidance, opportunities, and support they and the Dukes LC program have given me through this process. I want to also thank my parents for the many hours of driving and attending games and practices since my U-9 days. Finally, I would like to thank my youth coach Herb Clarke for his 7 years of coaching, advice, and encouragement to work hard to achieve my dream of playing Division 1 lacrosse.”
