“We are very excited to have Jacqueline McDevitt join our Boxer family,” said Pacific Director of Athletics Ken Schumann. “We are confident that Coach McDevitt will build on the tradition of success we have enjoyed in our Women’s Lacrosse program.”

McDevitt had recently been named head coach at Holy Family University in Philadelphia after spending two seasons as an assistant at Bryn Mawr College.

McDevitt is excited about her new job. “It is with a full heart that I am tremendously excited to return to the west coast and join the Boxer Family! I would like to thank Director of Athletics Ken Schumann and Associate Athletic Director Lauren Esbensen for this opportunity to lead the Women’s Lacrosse program. I’m honored to be named only the second head coach in the history of the program and I look forward to continuing the deep tradition of success of Pacific Lacrosse and becoming the ‘Best in the West.’”

McDevitt is a 2006 graduate of Long Island University-Brooklyn. Past coaching stints include Marist College, Caldwell College, Union College, Occidental College and Oberlin College. While at Oberlin, McDevitt was voted the NCAC 2012 Coach of the Year and had the second most wins in a season in school history.

McDevitt got her first head coaching experience for two years, serving as the head coach of Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio. With an eight-win improvement in her first season, she was selected as the North Coast Athletic Conference Coach of the Year.

Before Oberlin, McDevitt was helped launch the inaugural program at Occidental College in Los Angeles, Calif., reached the NCAA Sweet 16 with Union College in Schenectady, N.Y. and NCAA Division I member, Marist College in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. Plus, McDevitt has gained significant experience in coaching and working for the Ultimate Lacrosse Club and Midwestern Force Lacrosse Club.

Holy Family University had named McDevitt its new head coach in early September. A native of West Deptford, N.J., McDevitt attended Gloucester Catholic High School and spent one year at Gloucester County College
