HS team’s outlook for 2017: “I am excited to see what this season brings. There are many strong players returning and we will be welcoming a new coach to the program. I think that we have the potential to win the Ches-Mont title and to go far in the state tournament with hard work and determination.”

Why I chose this school:
“In the beginning of the recruiting process, I knew that I wanted to go to a school with both a high-level of education and a high-level of lacrosse. Duke University offers that and so much more. The campus is absolutely beautiful and filled with passionate people with a ton of school spirit. I love the tight-knit team dynamic that coincides with hard work and determination. Coach (Kerstin) Kimel, (Lauren) Morton, (Lars) Keil, and (Morgan) Heisman have so much knowledge and passion for the game of lacrosse, and I can’t wait for them to coach me and to help make me into the best player and teammate that I can possibly be. Most importantly, Duke University offers some of the best academic programs in the country and provides an unlimited amount of resources to its students. Duke University’s prestigious academics, elite athletics, and abundant amount of school spirit is more than I could ever wish for in a school.”

People to thank: “I would like to thank my club coach, Heather Wentz, for believing in me, pushing me, and supporting me in all aspects of the game. My teammates, for having my back and for their endless motivation. Coach (Kerstin) Kimel, for giving me this amazing opportunity. My high school coaches, Lisa Aikman and Jackie Farmer, for building up my strength and confidence as a player and for teaching me how to be a presence on the field. Their honesty and unconditional support has helped me to improve and to become not only the player, but also the person that I am today. I would also like to thank Jenny Duckenfield (National Tournament Team Philly coach) and Joe Tornetta (Under Armour Underclass All-American Team Philadelphia head coach) for coaching me at the elite level and supporting me in my recruiting process. Next, I would like to thank Michele DeJuliis. For the past year, not only did she guide me through this crazy recruiting process and respond to my infinite number of texts and emails, but she also encouraged me to work harder and harder every time I stepped on the field. Lastly, I would like to thank my family for believing in me in everything that I do, for providing me with all of the tools that I need to be successful, and for teaching me the importance of a strong work ethic.”
