Why did you choose Delaware State? “I chose Delaware State because I believe their team is going to help me grow as both a better player and as an individual. I fit in very well with the other players and also believe I can make a positive impact while playing for them.”

Outlook for HS team in 2017: “My high school team is ready to work for our state championship title. Most of varsity team players are seniors and since we have played the last four years together we all play very well together. We are determined to give our all for our last high school season.”

Thank You: “I would like to thank my coaches, Jeff Langley and David Wieneke, for devoting these last four years to Desert Vista’s team. My lacrosse game has grown so much because of them. I am forever grateful to my parents, Laura and Reese Shirley, for supporting me through both my high school and club seasons (because we all know lacrosse is not cheap!). To all my coaches from Desert Heat, thank you for giving up your summers and winters to drag our team to tournaments around the country. And lastly thank you to my brother, Kyle Shirley and Pro Edge Performance Training because you put your faith in me and you pushed me beyond my limits, making me the best possible athlete I can be. Without you there is no chance I would be where I am today.”
