What will you major in/study? Business

Why did you choose this school? “Virginia has everything I could want in a college. The coaches at UVA really stood out to me because of the their commitment to the individual player and the team as a whole. The team stood out to me because they show how a team can succeed when it is unified. The school as a whole also has an amazing academic reputation. I am honored to be able to be coached by Coach (Julie) Myers (Harriton grad), Coach (Colleen) Shearer, and Coach (Lindsay) Rogers. As soon as I spent time in Charlottesville, I knew it was a place where I could see myself going to college and playing lacrosse.”

HS team’s outlook for 2016 season? “Agnes Irwin had an amazing season last spring. We have a team full of players with a strong worth ethic and passion for the game of lacrosse. The upperclassman have done an amazing job at showing the underclassman what it means to play lacrosse at Agnes Irwin. Coach Duck turned our team around completely when she came to Irwins and under her guidance once again I can’t wait to see all that Irwins will accomplish this year in the Inter-Ac and at a national level!”

People to thank: “Thank you to Coach Duckenfield for teaching me all that I know about lacrosse and always pushing me to work my hardest and never give up. I am forever thankful for that. Thank you to Michelle DeJuliis for always believing in me, encouraging me to be the best I can be, and always being there to help along the way. I am so lucky to have DJ as a mentor and coach. Thank you to my all my teammates, who have always been there for support and who have been role models for the player I hope to become. And finally, thank you to my parents. Without your continual support, guidance, and help, I couldn’t of done anything without you. Thank you for giving up all of your free time for me, and driving me everywhere. Thank you for showing me how to persevere and giving me a strong work ethic. You have shown me what it means to be a good teammate on the field, and a good person off the field.”
