Why did you choose the school? “I chose Brown University to become a part of such an open, diverse, and close-knit community. From the minute I stepped on campus, there was such a friendly atmosphere, which is an aspect that I look for in every college. The lacrosse program was one in a million and I fell in love with the way the players and coaches had each others’ backs and always wanted each other to do better.”
HS team’s outlook for 2016 season? “I am so beyond excited to get the 2016 LAX season on the road! The Agnes Irwin lacrosse team has so much fun being together and that factor translates onto the field everyday. We have such a great opportunity because we will be playing some very elite teams this year. We’ve all been working really hard on the off season, so we hope to come at these teams stronger than ever. In addition, we have such a deep bench, so the starting lineup could change any day which is another aspect that will definitely help our success this year!”
Thank You: “First, I’d like to thank all my teammates from the various teams I’ve played on. My motivation and inspiration came from my teammates and I’ve had some of the best experiences with all of them. I’d love to thank my parents and sister for reminding me each day that the game is just a game and to play for the pure love of the sport (also for driving me around and supporting every game)! I am so grateful for Coach Duck who took me under her lacrosse wing and shaped me into the player I am today. Thank you for encouraging me to pursue the sport of lacrosse to begin with and thank you for seeing me through the whole process. Thank you to Mrs. White for coaching me at Radnor Youth and being there every step of the way. Thank you to my FC Philly Club Coach Stefan Szygiel for all the time you spent helping me be a better soccer player, athlete, and person. Thanks to Coach Nick Spillane for your warm and caring mentorship and your knowledge of the game of soccer. Thank you to Coach Lord (Radnor Soccer Coach) for making me fall in love with being on a team and with sports in general. Finally, I would love to thank Coach Keely McDonald and Coach Meg Miller for giving me the opportunity of a lifetime to be a part of such an amazing place like Brown!”
