From Press Release

Reschedules due to the cancellation of athletic activities on the Lafayette College campus through the weekend have begun as the Lafayette men’s and women’s lacrosse programs have announced new dates and times for their contests with Navy and Rutgers.

The women’s lacrosse team, originally scheduled to play at Rutgers on Tuesday evening, will now travel on Wednesday for a 7 p.m. matchup with the Scarlet Knights. The contest against Central Connecticut State, originally scheduled for this past Wednesday, continues to be postponed until a reschedule date is determined.

On the men’s side, the game at Navy, originally scheduled for Saturday afternoon, will now be played on March 22 at 7 p.m. in Annapolis, Md.

The games were moved due to the recent outbreak of a contagious stomach virus on campus that was confirmed to be due to norovirus. Out of an abundance of caution, Dr. Goldstein, Director of Health Services, recommended suspension of all campus activities, including intercollegiate sports through the weekend.
