The Kaiserman JCC is putting together a lacrosse team to represent the Philadelphia delegation at the 2016 Maccabi Games. The Maccabi games are an Olympic style games for Jewish athletes, aged 13-16.
This year’s Maccabi games will be held in Stamford, CT from August 7-12, 2016. Teams will compete from delegations all over the country and a number of foreign countries including Israel, Canada, England, Australia and Mexico. Athletes will have the opportunity to meet, socialize and compete against other Jewish athletes from all over the world.
Last year, Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey were represented by a combined team. The team finished with the Silver Medal at the 2015 games. It is the desire of the delegation and the returning players to form a team completely under the Philadelphia delegation.
