The Colonial States Athletic Conference has announced the 2015 CSAC Women’s Lacrosse Awards, as voted upon by the league’s 10 head coaches. These awards include First Team, Second Team and Honorable Mention All-CSAC, as well as Player, Coach and Rookie of the Year and the All-Sportsmanship Team.

Cabrini College’s Lacie Doubet (Swarthmore, Pa./Ridley) has been named the 2015 CSAC Player of the Year. The senior attacker is a four-time all-CSAC first team performer and earns her second CSAC Player of the Year accolade in three years (also 2013). A starter in all 17 games on the year for the Cavaliers, she put together a solid all-around campaign with 59 goals, 10 assists, 26 ground balls, 35 draw controls and four caused turnovers. She enters the CSAC playoffs as the conference leader in total goals (59) and is second in the league in goals per game (3.47).

Neumann University freshman Gabby Curry (Maple Shade, N.J./Camden Catholic) has earned 2015 CSAC Rookie of the Year honors as the Knights’ starting netminder, becoming the first Neumann women’s lacrosse player to earn CSAC Rookie of the Year plaudits. The first-year goalkeeper posted an 8.90 goals-against average and made 94 saves in the 13 games she played and earned a record of 9-3 in the cage. She tallied 10 or more saves in five games, highlighted by a 17-save effort in a non-conference matchup with Eastern University. A second-team all-CSAC selection, Curry also registered a 7-1 record in CSAC contests.

Cabrini’s Jackie Neary was named the 2015 CSAC Coach of the Year. Neary guided the three-time defending conference champion Cavaliers to a perfect 9-0 mark in conference play and the top seed in the upcoming CSAC Tournament. This marks Neary’s ninth CSAC Coach of the Year honor, as she also picked up the award in 2014, 2013, 2012, 2010, 2008, 2004, 2002 and 2001.
