Sara Hughes collected six goals and one assist while Jackie Cerchio and Daria Lucchesi added hat tricks to stake Methacton to a crucial 15-8 PAC-10 girls lacrosse victory over Spring-Ford Monday.
The victory was the 11th straight for the Warriors (9-2, 12-2), who took over sole possession of second place in the Liberty Division – one full game ahead of the Rams (8-3, 11-5) – with two league contests left for each team.
The Rams, who were outscored 9-4 in the second half, were led by Camryn Jones’ five goals.
Boyertown 12, Perkiomen Valley 11
Deespite the win, the 11-time defending PAC-10 champion Bears (7-4, 8-7) were officially eliminated from league playoff contention with Methacton’s win over Spring-Ford.
Hannah Jaskuta and Hannah Wentzel finished with three goals and two assists apiece for Boyertown, offsetting the four goals and two assists registered by Christie Balestra for the Vikings (4-8, 6-9). Harley Barrett made 16 saves in goal for Perk Valley.
Springfield-Montco 18, Interboro 6
Ellie Hamilton fired in sis goals for the Spartans.
Sami Barnett had three goals and two assists for the Bucs.
Chichester 12, Upper Darby 8
Maura Murray has six goals and Alyssa Clausen added four goals and an assist and Ashley Carpenter posted 14 saves for Chichester.
Gabbi Montefiore had five goals and an assist for the Royals.
Strath Haven 17, Henderson 9
Suzanna Penikis scored five goals and Jen Rowan had four goals and three assists to pace the Panthers.
Ryann Bauer had two goals and two assists for Henderson.
