Matt Rambo (La Salle) scored twice and added on assist and defenseman Casey Ikeda (Conestoga) had two groundballs and helped lead a defense that paced visiting Maryland to an 8-1 victory Saturday over Navy.

T.J. Hanzsche (Malvern Prep) had the lone Navy (1-1) goal and added three groundballs.

Marquette 11, Hofstra 10

Junior Blaine Fleming (St. Joseph’s Prep) scored with 1:19 remaining to lift Marquette (2-0) past the host Pride. Fleming scored twice and middie Jake Richard (Henderson) had a brilliant effort with eight groundballs, two caused turnovers and an assist.

Dylan Alderman (Bishop Shanahan) had a goal and a groundball for Hofstra.

Bellarmine 13, Robert Morris 10

Tyler Nangle (New Hope-Solebury) won 17 of 25 face-offs and grabbed seven groundballs for Bellarmine (1-1).

Eric Rankel (Downingtown West) had a goal, four groundballs and a caused turnover and Joe Scenna (Perkiomen Valley) had a groundball for RMU (0-2).

Yale 19, UMass Lowell 4

Jeff Cimbalista (La Salle) had two goals and an assist and Shane Carr (Penn Charter) scored once for Yale.

Bucknell 7, Bryant 5

Defenseman Connor Dent (St. Joseph’s Prep) had four groundbals and two caused turnovers to lead the Bryant (0-2) defense while attackman Shane Morrell (Episcopal School) scooped five groundballs.

Notre Dame 14, Georgetown 12

P.J. Finley (Malvern Prep/Lawrenceville Schol) won 10 of 13 face-offs and picked four groundballs while Conor Kelly (Haverford School) made five saves in goal in 36 minutes of action for the No. 2 Irish (1-0).

Billy Flatley (Conestoga) scored once fro the Hoyas (0-1).

North Carolina 20, UMass 8

Joey Sankey (Penn Charter) had three goals, four assists and three groundballs while DEF Austin Pifani (Abington) collected one goal, three groundballs and three turnovers for UNC (3-0). Ryan Kilpatrick (Salesianum School) added a caused turnover while backup goalie Duncan Saunders (Hill School) had two saves and yielded two goals in 15 minutes.

Drew Murray (Penn Charter) had an assists and a groundball while defenseman Andrew Eidenshink (La Salle) had a groundball for Fairfield.

St. John’s 13, Stony Brook 8

DEF Mark DiFrania (La Salle) had a brilliant game with eight groundballs and three caused turnovers for St. John’s. Michael Paoline (Downingtown West) added a caused turnover.

Marist 7, Air Force 6

Colin Joka (Plymouth Whitemarsh) had a goal, an assist and a groundball for Marist (1-0).

Keith Dreyer (Malvern Prep) had a goal, two assists and four groundballs while DEF Alex Warden (Garnet Valley) had three groundballs and two caused turnovers.

BU 13, Canisius 9

Adam Schaal (La Salle) had two goals and an assist and Ryan Hilburn (Malvern Prep) had a goal and htree assists while Craig Zebrowski (Salesianum School) scored once. Greg Wozniak (Holy Ghost Prep) dominated at the LSM spot with seven groundballs, four caused turnovers and a goal.

Denver 17, Duke 13

Tanner Scott (Conestoga) scored once and DEF Jamie Ikeda (Conestoga) added three groundballs for Duke in its loss to No. 1 DU. Greg Pelton (Malvern Prep) and Patrick Resch (La Salle) each added a groundball.

Richmond 15, Rutgers 7

Nate Volpert (Haverford School) had an assist for the winning Spiders. Rich Rambo (Abington) had a groundball for Rutgers.

Michigan 15, Detroit Mercy 7

Dan Kinek (Emmaus) had two groundbals for Michigan.
