Registration is open for the Germantoiwn Friends Girls’ Lacrosse Camp for Grades 1 to 9 on June 22-26.

Times: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Age: Grades 1 to 9
Location: Germantown Friends Athletic Fields, 2823 Midvale Avenue, 19129 in East Falls.
Cost: $250
Equipment: water bottle, goggles, mouth guard, stick, extra socks, sunscreen, sneakers, cleats (optional).
Some equipment is available for loan if needed.
Lunch: Campers will bring their own lunch, snack and drink.

Here’s an opportunity to improve your game and have fun at the same time. This camp is open to girls of every skill level who want to learn more about lacrosse. Our goal is not only to teach the skills necessary to excel at the sport but to impart a love of athletics and o build confidence.

The camp will be led by current GFS Varsity Lacrosse Coach Katie Bergstrom Mark. She has coached lacrosse for 10 years and led the team to 4 Friends Schools League championships. More than 25 of her athletes have gone on to play Division I or Division III college lacrosse at schools such as Dartmouth, Penn, Middlebury, Bates, Bowdoin, Howard, Wesleyan, MIT and Davidson. Bergstrom Mark has extensive experience coaching youth to elite players in camps, clinics, and tournaments. At Columbia University, she was the leading scorer for the Division I lacrosse and field hockey teams. Bergstrom Mark is the Director of Athletics at
Germantown Friends School, and the Director of the GFS Summer Camps. Other Staff members will be made up of current NCAA lacrosse players and other GFS Lacrosse Coaches and current Varsity Players.

12:00 Lunch/Pool
1:15 Defensive concepts

2:45 Warm-down and reflection
3:00 Pick up

Note – Younger plays will be introduced at a slow and age appropriate pace. We will incorporate a lot of small game activities where each child will
find success! Individual Goalie instructions available. Instructions will be offered at 3 levels: Beginner, Intermediate & Advanced
