Providence Road Lacrosse, Strath Haven High School’s offseason training and development club program, won the Varsity Brown division at last weekend’s Lehigh King of the Mountain tournament with a thrilling 7-6 braveheart victory over an outstanding Garnet Valley Jags Lacrosse squad.
PRL swept its round robin bracket (3-0), then came from behind in playoff victories over East End (4-2) and Brotherhood 11/12 (4-3) before meeting GV in the bracket final. The game was a see-saw battle the entire way, with PRL scoring the tying goal with less than 1:30 to play. In OT, goalie Will Brake fed LS Mike Scott for the game winner to give PRL the win.
