Philly players excel in U19 exhibition game as all await next training roster

Drew Supinski (Haverford School, incoming Johns Hopkins freshman) scored two goals and Grant Ament (Haverford School, incoming Penn State freshman) had two assists and Dox Aitken (Haverford School, 2016, Virginia commit) had a goal to help lead the Blue team to a 13-12 win over the White Team Sunday in the U.S. Men’s U19 Exhibition at Homewood Field at Johns Hopkins that capped the weekend’s tryouts among the final 50 players.

Noah Lejman (Haverford School, incoming Penn freshman) had one groundball and helped anchor the defense while Christian Feliziani (Episcopal Academy, 2016, Ohio State commit) won 6 of 14 face-offs and scooped five groundball for the Blue.

For the White Team, Michael Sowers (Upper Dublin, Princeton commit) had two goals and two assists and while Jack Rapine (Upper Dublin, incoming Johns Hopkins commit) had two groundballs and Charles Kelly (Malvern Prep, incoming UNC freshman) won 7 of 13 face-offs and picked four groundballs.

The event featured nine Philly players, including 2017 midfielder Matt Moore (Garnet Valley, Virginia commit). A 10th, goalie Ryan Kern, of Salesianum School, could not attend due to obligations for the Naval Academy where he begins school shortly.

The team is expected to be cut to 30 players today.
