Philly boys split again, girls fall to Baltimore in second day of @UALacrosse; Sowers (U. Dublin) scores 7 goals

Michael Sowers (Upper Dublin) had five goals and an assist to spark Philadelphia to an 11-4 win over the Midwest today in the Under Armour Underclassmen Games at Towson University.

Adam Goldner (Malvern Prep) and Matt Moore (Garnet Valley) each had a goal and an assist for Team Philly (2-2), which later suffered an 8-6 loss to the West.

Also scoring for Philly in the win over the West were Jim McAfee (Germantown Academy), Brett Baskin (La Salle), Michael Fay (Malvern Prep) and Ryan Kinnard (Penncrest).

Kyle Mullin (Bayard Rustin) had four saves and Sean McKee (Penn Charter) posted three saves in goal.

In the loss to the West, Sowers had two goals and an assist.

Philly girls fall to Baltimore, 16-5

Hannah Keating (Agnes Irwin) scored four goals, but not much else went right for Team Philly, whioch fell to Baltimore, 16-5, and dropped to 1-2 overall.

Natalie Kahn (Great Valley) scored once and Olivia Martin (Lampeter Strasburg) had seven saves in a half of play for Philly, which plays the Midwest at 8:45 in its final Pool game tomorrow morning.
